A businessman who disarmed the London Bridge terror attack knifeman has been praised for his heroics and told he should never have to buy a drink again.
The smartly-dressed man was caught on camera walking away from the scene clutching the large knife – seconds after he and others disarmed the knifeman who was wearing a fake suicide vest.
What is incredible is that the man and fellow members of the public would not have known that the suicide vest was a hoax and still wrestled to get the knife off him for several minutes before police arrived on the scene.
The shocking footage captures the terrifying aftermath after several people were stabbed and the terror suspect was killed.
In the video, the unknown man, wearing smart grey trousers, a lilac shirt and tie and a black overcoat, can be seen backing away as police move in on the ‘armed’ suspect.
Meanwhile, fellow members of the public ensure that the suspect stays pinned down before firearms officers arrive on the scene pointing their guns on him and shouting for people to get back.

After two shots are heard ringing out, the businessman, then starts to run towards fellow bystanders and waves at them to get back whilst still clutching the knife in his left hand.
As the bridge fills with shocked screams, the businessman, who looks to be in his late thirties, looks twice over his shoulder at the dramatic scene unfolding behind him.
The incredibly brave action has attracted hundreds of comments online as members of the public flock to praise the bravery of the man and others who didn’t think twice about risking their own lives to save many others.
